Well I just thought I'd share and document my progress on my first Chameleon! It will be a holdback from Bruce at chameleon paradise! Here he is

he is 8 months old!!
Ok now onto his enclosure it is a apogee repterium
175g tall 29by29by48" for lighting I have a 36" dual fluorescent light fixture one side is a reptisun 5.0 and the otherwise is a 6k daylight bulb, I also have 2 100w basking lamps 1 will be on 12hrs along with the fluorescent and the the other will come on via ecozone controller if basking temps go to low, at night I have 2 150w ceramic heaters only to kick on if temps go below 68 and off at 70,
Humidity will also be controlled via a DIY misting system and ecozone humidity will not be to big of an issue as I have a 160+g of a reef tank sitting in my living room that keeps this area at 50 percent humidity so it doesn't take much to get the humidity the rest the way up I plan to run the humidity around 75-80? Here are a few pics!

Any ideas would be appreciated!

Hello, welcome to the forum, that all looks great :)You can wrap plastic sheeting round a couple of sides of the cage to help keep humidity up.

That's a great idea would painter's plastic work? Be safe? Or is there something that would be recommended?

I'm either going to have to use painters plastic or a shower curtain when my all screen cage comes. My enclosure now is half glass, half screen and I have trouble with humidity even with a 80 gallon fish tank 5 feet away. I would assume just make sure that the plastic whatever type you pick isn't overwhelming with 'plasticy' smell, I can't imagine that being healthy for the cham to be around.

Looks great! He's a handsome cham!

Agree with the plastic sheeting that helps me keep mine at around 70% most of the day. Awesome Cham... And enclosure, good job!!!

Thanks for your comments guys I just got lucky I already had a bunch of safe mature plants to put in there!

Also what do you guy think about a warming pad under the plants to help drive humidity and it'd also cause a convection type action inside the enclosure any thoughts?

Here he is first pic is of him just moments after waking up in the car at the FedEx and second pic is of him warmed up in his new home!!
Have to put a big thanks out to Bruce at Chameleon paradise! He did a great job of getting me all set up and top notch communication!

ENJOY!
