My New Female Parsonii "Matty"

I seen the conversation about the parsonii on fb, he really is a lucky man to work with all those Madagascar species. To think that parsonii live over 20 years is amazing, in terms of chameleons.

How do you no its a female, how old is she?

It is somewhat speculative however that was what she was sold to me as. From what I have seen I'm leaning towards a female though.

What did Rhino do when he saw Matty? Did he head bob?

When he saw her he looked at her for a good twenty to thirty minutes. He did not flare up like what he does when he seen Charles my male T. deremensis. He seemed to be checking out who the new Parsonii was and as though he had just seen a long lost friend. It was great to watch.

Since I have ask a dozen times , I am just so happy that you finally have the female you have wanted. Good luck with her Jeremy, I know she is in great hands.

Thanks everyone! Yeah Madagascar truly is bio gold. I wish he would have photo documented his claim. Information of that kind could reshape the Parsonii hobby.

LOL Thanks and if I suck (if at all) I do not suck much. I did manage a solid deal to acquire a female Parsonii. Plus I just graduated a top 50 University in the nation.

Here's a couple updated pictures of Matilda. It seems Matilda is not a Matilda instead she is a Mathew LOL. That was the unanimous vote from keepers from Europe and her eyes are turning orange instead of green along with her nose seems to be developing into a rostral procress. The second picture shows eye color and rostral process growth more clearly. A couple months from now is going to say for certain. I think Matty or Matt is about to shed.

Not a problem. I think every couple of sheds I'm going to post updated pictures to photo document growth (with out the weights though). As of now she has made a meal out of blue bottle flies, crickets, and grasshoppers and I suspect superworms. She does prefer some privacy though and does seem to eat the most when shes alone. She has got a healthy appetite though as she is producing a healthy amount of poop.

Looks like a male butt. Seriously, I think you can sex baby parsonii by the tail taper, too. Baby females look like adult females.

I for the most part think this Parsonii is a male. Her rostral processes are turning into rostral horns.

It was a great day out and I decided to give Mathew some natural sunshine exposure. Spring is coming early and their were flies every around the bush I put him in. I kept expecting him to make a meal out of some of them however he decide not to this time. He was happy just to soak up the natural UV rays.

This last picture you can really start to see the development of the roastral blades as they start to emerge. His adult coloration is just starting to show through as well.
