Sending our prayers for Ryan and his family. This is a horrible tragedy to have happen at any time of the year but when a child is supposed to be full of excitement at the prospect of Santa's impending visit, it is especially hard to fathom. Along with my deepest sense of sadness I also send my high hopes for his full recovery. Strength to you all.

So much has been done with hypothermia treatment, especially among children. I honestly have hope that there will be a positive resolution.

How is Ryan today? Any improvement?

He is still in a coma and he had a seizure last night. They disconnected him from the ventilator for about 15 minutes to run some test and he was breathing on his own but they want to keep him on the ventilator so his little body want have to work so hard. They will be running more test next week.

It's a long haul, but he's obviously a fighter. Kids are tough. I'm staying hopeful.

Do they know what caused the seizure? Its good that he can breathe on his own. Praying really hard that he wakes up foe Christmas.

Thank you both. I'm not sure if they told Amanda what may have caused the seizure. I know they are taking more test today. The family is taking one day at a time to see what happens. Amanda has not left Ryan's side and ask me to take care of her bearded dragon for awhile so I now have Reptar along with all my other pets. At least he's young and seems healthy.

Thank you both so much. I am going down to the hospital Wednesday, it's an hour away and I will be sure to let Amanda know that everyone is still praying for her little man.

There has been no change. I am going to the hospital this evening. One of the nurses did allow Amanda to hold Ryan the other night for about 40 minutes for the first time since the accident. She really needed that. I am praying really hard that Ryan will wake up for Christmas.
