I fixed it. I made that post with my talkatap app on my Droid and it wouldn't upload the pictures:(

You can see the progression of his colors in these pictures as he warmed up and got use to the new environment. It's so hot here that I had to take him out right as he was getting up...at first he wasn't very happy with me but thought better of it once he found out where he was going:D

The best picture I got this morning came after these and I reserved it for the photo contest...I still can't believe the colors I capture in that picture:eek:

At this point I would trade all the early color he has for a tongue that would work again:mad: Also note that in these pictures he has been on Baytril for a week. He looks pretty good considering:cool:

Sounds like a bit much to me, mine have shed about once a month at about that age. Make sure your humidity is up and that you're misting enough - excessive shedding could be due to the air being too dry.

He has slowed down a bit. But he always starts and ends a shed in a couple of hrs. Humidity is always a problem in AZ but I have it figured to low of 48% in the early night before his humidifier goes off and a high of 80% or so when his mister is going for his long mist in the morning. I am misting him 5 times a day from 5min to 15min and his urates are perfectly white.

I also have been keeping his ambient temps at 77-78 during the day and 71 at night to give him a night time temp drop.:D

Quick question. How often should a baby Panther shed? I have had George for a little over 1 month and he has shed 3 times. I know he is growing but....wow! Every 2 weeks does that sound about right for a 3-4mo panther?

That does sound a bit much - is it 3 complete sheds? Make sure humidity is ok, and he doesn't have too much food.......he may just be a quick grower though....

Eh, unless your seeing some other obvious issues with excessively dry skin dont worry. Chams all grow at diff rates. He just may be hitting his growth spurt.

I made some notes on my husbandry in the previous post...let me know what you think of temp and humidity remember that our normal humidity in AZ is in the single digits:( Also his food intake has slowed with him having a hard time with his tongue and being on Baytril. I was told to feed them as much as they could eat at this point but I am not doing that anymore. Well for the last week I have been feeding him as much as I can get down him due to the meds he is on.

Edit:
Thanks Texas, I didn't think he looked unhealthy.

Erm, also part of the reason I forgot which thread I'm on is that I'm a bit baked today......I need to smoke less, lol

Well I can't argue with that logic, so I guess they are yours - congratulations, mate :)

Ok..wait. How did my thread about my chams growth and development (and pictures) turn into the half baked thread? Keep it up and MY picture thread is going to end up in Chat :(
