Hello dear friends, I am writing to see if someone can help me with their wisdom and/or knowledge. my veiled chameleon called mango, is a 5-year-old chameleon, 2 years ago he was diagnosed with MBD, however he recovered a bit, not completely since he never put out his entire tongue again, we had to give him food with his hand near his mouth, so he could eat, so we did, and we have been doing it for 2 years now, lately he started to fall, he couldn't stand anymore, so we built a new cage for him so that he wouldn't could fall again, about a week ago he hardly wanted to eat anymore, so we forced him to eat, from time to time. I always tried to make him eat 6 adult crickets a day, goutloaded with greens and vegetables, I have been giving him Calcium with d3 daily for a month, previously we gave him repti calcium from the Zoomed brand, however a week ago we started giving him Calcium with d3 daily of the brand rep-cal and approximately once a week we supplied him with herptivite multivitamins with beta carotene of the brand he rep cal, although the temperatures tried to keep them at 25 to 27 degrees centigrade at night, he sometimes fell and was left outside outside the range of the heater, during the day I tried to maintain a temperature of 29 to 31 degrees centigrade, but in the same way if it fell and there was no one around to pick it up, it would be outside the range of the heater. Due to this situation we decided to make modifications to the cage so that it would not fall anymore. the uv spotlight we use is a 39 watt t5 high output 85cm zoomed brand, it is in a fishbowl fixture with a reflector, at this moment we place it 30 cm away from it and the chameleon, however in the other Cage setup was generally 20 cm apart at the highest point. the situation got worse 2 nights ago that the chameleon was watery, he had no strength in any part of his body and in the same way he fell out of the range of the heater, during the day it was the same story, he did not want to eat anything and he did not We forced, it is worth mentioning that the day before he ate a cricket on his own and we forced him to eat 5 more. These crickets were sprinkled with Calcium with d3 from the rep-cal brand and herptivite vitamins from the rep-cal brand. generally we offer him water by wetting his mouth with the jet of the sprinkler and he opens his mouth and we give him more water. we do this daily. just the night before we were able to make the changes in the cage, last night it was very bad we gave him up for dead, until we raised the temperature and turned on the lights, and he reacted a little, but in general he is without strength. is not able to move, my question is what should I do? should I force him to eat? should i give him water? should i give him medicine? should I leave it without eating? Hi. Is there any reason in particular that you have been giving calcium with D3 daily? That should be given one feeding every other week. D3 is a fat soluble vitamin and can build up to toxic levels. How often have you been using the Herpitvite?
It had a protuberance, like a pimple, and when it was removed, it was left with that lesion, we have no idea why it came out, it just came out as a little ball

What UVB light are you using on his cage....all I can see is the dome type of lights. The UVB should be a long linear 5.0 reptisun or a 6% Arcadia long linear tube light. Have you changed the UVB at any time?
The way to correct MBD is not by overdoing the vitamin D3 but to give enough UVB light and a limited amount of D3 along with a liquid calcium that will provide enough to calcium to strengthen the bones and muscles, etc and enough D3 that the calcium is absorbed back into the chameleon's system again. Vitamin A needs to be given in a balance with the D3 as well.
Once the bones, muscles, etc are strong again, you need to put the chameleon on the maintenance supplementing plan again. (No phos, Calcium dusted lightly on the insects at all feedings but one a week. Alternate the dusting lightly, at the remaining feeding a week, between a phos free calcium/D3 and a vitamin powder with a prEformed source of vitamin A and no D3.
