I went out for just an hour and come back and there he was! He is not moving much yet and I plan to just let him sit until he recovers. Should I move him tonight or leave him?
I would move him to the baby bin. They need to stay fairly warm-80-82. Of course turn lights and heat off at night as long as they are not dropping below mid 70's.
it is only 75 with the 25 watt light on! should i just leave it on for the night? or should i place the cage on top of low temp heat pad with blanket under it to warm it up. house is only 70 at night
70 degrees at night is ok for night time temps. Babies dont eat right away so you can get away with 75 degrees for a couple days. You will need to raise the temps somehow after that.
No heat mats, no lights at night.
Just keep the room itself warm for the next while, 68F/20C at night, 75F/23C daytime, slightly warmer under the little basking light. Best not to got over 80F/26C for new babies.
Thanks, I'm sure I will not sleep much tonight! These temp you noted will be fine in the house. Already cant keep the fruit flies in. Cant get pin head crickets on line until tuesday or later. Anyone know where I can get some locally? photo is now posted on my profile cant get it over here.
