New Chameleon from Kammer, how can i fix it?

Hey guys this is my first post, i just received a Grimbold Panther from Kammers Ive noticed a few things that i was not please, would anyone help and tell me how to fix it? thanks I am extremely worried about his circumstances.

so far theres a lazy eye over his right, scratches against the branch every 10 mins or so, his forehead is badly damaged (is that repairable)

How long have you had him? I would email Ed or any one of the Kammers and get their opinions immediately as well!

My guess is there is something in his eye that needs to come out. I would start with misting him even though he will not like it and I recommend you go out and purchase saline solution to flush his eye out and hopefully remove whatever is in there. If that doesn't get what is in it out you will need to go to the vet to have it removed.

As for his forehead I can't really tell from the pictures? Is he rubbing the center of his forehead?

The damage on the forehead looks superficial from the picture. If this is truly the case then a shed or two should take care of that. The eye issue is something to give attention to. The simplest, quickest thing I can suggest to try is to put him on a tree and in the shower with luke warm water sprinkling all over. The water and humidity may help whatever is going in with the eye.

I just had him for 2 hours or so, thanks for the solutions guys, i didnt talk to ed from but i did get in touch with Briana, they told me to keep him moist and hydrated

i would reccomend raising the lights if they are resting on the enclosure because of thermal burns

Nice job with the cage. Your little guy has warmth up top and places to hide down below. I like the use of those big wood pieces and the foliage.

Your chameleon will take some time to settle down. If he stops climbing walls in a couple days then he is settling in. If he is still climbing walls then we need to do some troubleshooting to see what is up.

Let us know how the eye thing goes. Hopefully it is just one if those shipping things that happens and it will clear up. The important thing is to provide that hydration and you should see it get better over the next couple days. If it gets worse then a vet visit is in order.

thank you very much for the comments/feedback im also using a Monsoon RS400 misting every 4 hours for 30 secs

Let us know how his eye turns out after the misting. My one female who is actually from Kammers as well just got something in her eye and after about 10 minutes of misting and letting her try to clean her eye she was able to remove it on her own and is back to normal.

Even though they are in a container when shipping there can still be a lot of dust and debris that can get in their eyes so I assume that is what happened with your little guy.

Holy Cow!!!! We just got a Grimbold baby from Kammer a few weeks ago!! Like you, our baby had something funny on the top of his head, looked like some stuck shed, and kept his right eye shut and was rubbing it! What we did was kept his home nice and moist and sprayed him directly a few times a day with warm water (he did not like that!!!). After about 2 days his eye cleared up and has not had any problems since. Also, he went through a shed last weekend and his head looks completely fine. He's also comfortable in his enclosure at this point and moves all around his foliage when not basking or eating.

Hopefully this is helpful and since we went through literally the same exact thing maybe two weeks ago, let me know if you have any questions.
