Hi, I just got my first chameleon on Saturday. He is 2 yrs old and was owner surrendered to my local animal shelter. He was living in a 16 x 16 x 30 screen enclosure with a 40w light bulb and no uvb. I have since gotten him into a much larger enclosure, but he hasn't eaten much since I brought him home. He has 3 large crickets and 7 silkworms in his enclosure but has yet to eat today. I did just move him into his new home yesterday afternoon. I have attached pics of his home when i got him and his new home. Please let me know if there is anything I need to change or do. I did get him a t8 uvb bulb, but do have a t5 HO uvb on its way.

Awww, poor guy. He's pretty lucky you stepped up... such a difference in cage set up! If you haven't yet, fill out the How to Ask for Help and paste answers here so you can get some special help for your guy. He's had a big change and might just need some time to settle in and relax. If I were you, I would definitely schedule a vet appt. for a check up or at least a fecal sample test to check for parasites.

Read through the the care sheets, too :)

Thank you, I will do that. One of his large pieces of wood in his new enclosure is hollowed out and he has been sleeping in there. I can see his head but that seems to be where he likes to hide and sleep. I'm hoping that is normal. He was used to sleeping on the floor of his old cage.....at least that is where he hung out most of the time at the shelter. Thankfully we have an exotic vet close and I will schedule an appointment with them.
