This morning Akisa rolled his eye back and I could see the red part it looked so freaky, he did it 6 times in a row. Is this something they do to clean the lens of their eye??? Or should I look into vitamin A deficiency or shed skin stuck there????? He seems perfectly healthy otherwise so I thought maybe it was just something they do like humans blinking.
thnx!

if the eye went back to normal, then I would assume he was simply cleaning it out.
If he does it again, try a warm shower or a really heavy warm water misting.

this can help clean it out.
If he does it again, you can try getting some plain saline from a drug store and putting a tiny drop in his eye. he will blink (just like we do) and it should help clean it out.
Just make sure the saline is jsut saline. no other chemicals and such.

He started rubbing his eye on a branch when I got home so I knew something was bothering him. I did the wash and he kinda liked it?! It worked so thanks :0)

They will often rub themselves on things when shedding or stuff is in their eyes.
Glad the wash worked.

i agree with camimom on the warm shower. If that doesnt work get her a fecal exam, its good to do these 2 times a year anyways, many vets have special eye drops for reptiles (exotics vets). Good luck :D
