I got my first Panther Chameleon today! :D

The guy told me she was a female Ambilobe Panther and 9.5 months old! He also said all Ambilobe females are this color, is this true? He didn't seem very interested in talking about her just sitting behind the table putting food in his mouth but I fell in love with her and had to bring her home.

Here are some pics of her, would love to know what you guys think!

looks good. im no panther pro but i wouldnt say all ambilobe females look the same...generally speaking female panthers arent vibrantly colored like males but its very hard if not impossible to tell one female local from another but some females are very colorful some aren't...

You can download pics by going to the down arrow beside the paperclip. Download your images then use the paperclip to post them. All there are on the reply/post next to smile face

you have got yourself a real beauty there! :) but just out of curiosity you have done your research right and more being it a female and its egg bound situations hehe! im sure you have, very nice once again though cant wait too get mine :)

I wouldn't say all female Ambilobe look the same, my little female has beautiful cool colours and she's younger.

Thanks, she is doing very well this evening. She has been snacking on crickets and I have seen her drinking several times. Hopefully she will keep eating the crickets I have my darn Veileds won't give them the time of day now. lol

I have done my research! I have a laying bin ready to go into her cage and my 6 month old Veiled Female is starting to dig in her tree pot so she is getting one also! Going tomorrow to get the sand to mix in with substrate and put them in. Don't want to take any chances and make them feel as comfortable as possible.

She is pretty! Mine has changed her colors 10X since I have gotten her home! Even though mine is not all colorful I like her dark black stripes and am looking forward to what she will be like in just a short couple of months!

Females get alot of bad wrap but honestly their just as interesting and personable as a male and sometimes their colors are more unique, so who cares their still a great pet in my mind male or female!
