My tap water is too hard to use, distilled is bad??

It's more like 'you're not damned if you do and damned if you don't supplement properly'.
I have been using my RO system for almost one year and had zero health issues from what I can tell. If you supplement your cham's food with calcium and vitamins you should have zero issue. And, it isn't like you have to add any supplements, just the normal routine.
EXACTLY.....
And you sure like showing that RO system off don't you?![]()
Do you guys drink distilled water? Spring or filtered tap water contains a host of nutrients. The only thing I use distilled water for is cleaning out the radiator of my car, but that's just me. IMO, and it's JMO, distilled would make your misting system run with less worry about corrosion etc, but it may be a healthier choice for your cham to get real water.
I've been playing with it a lot lately... and it looks confusing.![]()
I don't drink distilled water but I would. There is no need to think of distilled water as some kind of poisonous cleaning agent.
In your car, it is a waste to clean your radiator with distilled water. What you should do, is run distilled water at all times with a mix of antifreeze.
Distilled water is just as real as non-distilled. You may actually be able to argue that it is even more real since it is more H2o and less everything else.
Like summoner said, proper supplementation and gut loading are the best way to give the necessary nutrients.

Do you guys drink distilled water? Spring or filtered tap water contains a host of nutrients. The only thing I use distilled water for is flushing the radiator of my car, but that's just me. IMO, and it's JMO, distilled would make your misting system run with less worry about mineral deposits etc, but it may be a healthier choice for your cham to get real water.
Well this isn't the appropriate forum to get too in depth about car maintenance, but I can assure you that flushing a car's radiator with distilled water (when doing a radiator flush) is not a waste. This goes on the same logic that people want to use distilled with there chams in the first place to prevent their mist system from getting deposits and work better, longer. Same thing for car.
I never said distilled water was like some "poisionous cleaning agent" but rather I said it's void of any good nutrients for living things. This makes distilled great for cleaning/use in machines, and not as good (than say spring water) for animal consumption in my humble opinion. But if we have anecdotal evidence that people are using distilled and no ill effects, than don't let me stop you from coming to your own conclusions (that was never my intent in the first place).
it's a matter of semantics, but I wouldn't say distilled is more "real" than tap water. Do animals drink anything close to distilled water in nature? More pure perhaps, but real, IDK.
I was just giving my opinion that distilled isn't the best choice since the OP asked for advice. Obviously, do what you feel is best. GL.
Oh, come on now. If I built something like that, I'd be showing it off (a million times...) too.(Kevin, next time you come home to visit, I expect you to swing by my house to build me some cool stuff like that, too....
)
Chlorine. Floremines and floride are great for chamd![]()
Don't pretend Julie...you know you have the craziest misting set-up of them all!
