Lisa,

Welcome to the Forum. Are you from UK or Europe? If so, Cham keepers in those countries do more of the Vivarium style, while in the US/Cananda, we are more prone to screen cages. There are advantages to both styles, but I would suggest you ask for keepers with vivariums to respond, if that is the style you will be using.
That being said, the surfaces need to be easily cleanable, and have no pockets for water to stay and become a breeding ground for bateria molds and fungii. On the back wall, Varnish before you glue...water will get into every crack. Caulk every joint!

hi i have built my viv now an floor varnished the back then put my expanding foam on it starting to look really cool i have floor varnished the foam an put a couple of coats of different coloured gloss on it do you think this will be enough to waterproof it or use somefin like tile adisive??????????? help plz????????

i used a sheet of 1/8th inch this tile for mine ( vynal time) anbd stapeled it on (didnt want the glue to have a smell then i cocked all the coroners expecially the bottom... so no water can get behing the tiles.....its working great.
