Nutritional Supplement

Clouseau continues to not eat. He has lost 10 grams of weight! I force fed him phoenix worms today but it is very stressful for him. His grip in his feet and tail seem strong but overall he is looking very emaciated. He gets 3ml of subQ fluids once a day but I think he may need more than that; Is there any good quality supplement that I can give him? I feel so helpless and like yet again another chameleon I let down somehow by not keeping him healthy. I am really at a loss as to what caused this with him. Nothing in his husbandry changed except for those stupid hornworms that all died.:(

Please post some recent photos and answer the questions in the how to ask for help thread at the top of the health forum so we can help you better.

I cannot post photos as Clouseau is far too ill to be stressed like that. I do not need a review of husbandry as he is near death and in a "hospital" enclosure with heat packs. (please don't think I am being snippy I am just desperate). If he survives the day it will be a miracle; he is on his 3rd antibiotic for stomatitis and a URI which started shortly after feeding him hornworms from a batch that suddenly died all at once. I will NEVER order hornworms from that vendor again!
He is extremely dehydrated and emaciated. I force fed phoenix worms yesterday and he regurgitated 2 of them and spent the day head down hanging by his tail with mucus dripping from his mouth.
I need to know if there is a reliable nutritional supplement I can give him if he survives.

were the phoenix worms liquefied, or whole?

often when force feeding, one purees some variety of bugs with a small amount of water, calcium and minerals.

without providing the questionnaire info, without knowing why the chameleon is not eating, Im not sure how much help we can be. What has the vet said about his condition?

I believe I said he has stomatitis and a URI. But it is irrelevant now as he is dead and again I know why he is not eating I was looking for a supplement to give him.

So sorry for your loss. The uri and stomatitis would likely be why he wasn't eating. What did great vet do about both of hose things? He should have cleaned out the infected areas and done a culture and sensitivity test and put him on an appropriate antibiotic.

He had been on enrofloxacin and metronidazole and actually seemed to be recovering from the stomatitis, his mouth was clean and pink and he was even eating soft bugs but then he started having respiratory issues and it was downhill from there. The vet changed him to chloramphenicol but he never really recovered from this. Despite getting subq fluids and force feeding the phoenix worms he continued to decline.
