I've been told many times on this forum that a chameleon's job is to make sure we are worried about them 24/7, and I'm starting to see why.
My uncle had to leave town for about a month to get cancer treatment, and left his two kids under our care. These boys are very young, obnoxious, and happen to love animals.
I've had my cham since May 30th at six months old. He recently began to display some more of that chameleon tude that I keep hearing about. The problem is that I feel like he really doesn't like when people are near him, he seems very scared of humans. He won't even eat when someone is in the room. For this reason, I barely ever approach his cage and when I do I move very slow and it's only to feed him and empty his bottom tray. The problem is that the kids are staying in the guest room (where the chameleon is) and I can't supervise them every second of the day to make sure they are not stressing him out.
I haven't seen him eat in two days and I'm starting to get worried. I could leave him there, let him be, and hope the kids excitement with the chameleon fades away. I could also move his whole cage to my room for the time being. I just know they don't really love to be moved around too much and a new room would basically mean changing up his whole surroundings. Advice please
