Oorana Mena or Nosy Mitsio

If you could own just one locale, which of the two would it be?

Dean ur right. i like mitsio, but i like oorana too. they are beautiful in their own way and i think that was a pretty ignorant statement Kosmo.

Hey Pam,

I Live in Northern California...

The link I attached shows a Nosy Faly posted last year by a breeder in Holland. It seems that our European counterparts got a jump on this locale early last year...

I'm sure that in the months to come, & as the first round of hatchlings in the U.S. start to mature we will begin to see more color & pattern variation...

Not Holland, Denmark :D

Nosy Faly (Oorana Mena)

Mine would be the Nosy Faly. Check out the clean white on this guy, and the red dots all over him. Oorana Mena is a designer name that means "red rain". It suits these guys really well. The Nosy Mitsio's are a stunning locale as well. A very hard decision, I couldn't decide on one so I had to get both.

Well my hat is off to the breeder for picking out some amazing chameleons for me ;). I'll have some amazing babies from them next year. :D

Ah,neither. I'd rather have an ambanja, nosy be or ambilobe than any of the others - especially the newer ones...

Funny, because I remember many nosey be's looking very much like those nosey faly chameleons - but being considered "less desirable" due to the red and yellow. Everyone was breeding for pure blue - the red speckels in ambanjas and nosey be's were often considered undesirable, the more pure blue, the better.

I always felt the red bar ambanjas were the best looking, then solid blue nosey bes, then ambilobes - For me, the most important thing is how they look relaxed, not fired up. In my opinion, ambanjas and nosey bes look better relaxed, ambilobes, sambavas look better fired up.

i'll get some panthers eventually. I think I'd rather have one or two for my lectures. Don't know if I'd ever want to breed them.

One thing is for certain, pure blue nosey be's really catch your eye. People usually can't believe they're real.

Hes from screameleons, wylde bloodline i believe.. if they all looked like him i would vote mena all the way.. Fact is few of them do...

Nosy Faly

Yes, he is one of Wylde's babies. I have a male sired by Darrell and he is starting to fire up the same. He was 5 1/2 months in that pic, here is another at just over 7 months. They truly are one of a kind.

Just a gorgeous cham, those blues with the white body...just gorgeous.

although if i could find a panther chameleon nosy mitsio...that would be sweet.. that when fired up was 100% yellow with red eyebBalls.
