Outdoor set up in Southern California!!!

I've been doing a lot of research and pretty soon I plan to buy some chameleons and build my own set up . I would like to set up out doors though, I know usually people are inside but , I would like to try outdoors , I have a covered area but outside none the less. I also understand about keeping temperatures up at night and humidity for them so I don't plan to have a regular open cage for them , something to regulate the temperatures. Any advice or suggestions please let me know.

I live in San Diego and keep my panther out starting usually end April until October November depending on night time temps. Just make sure they have shade to escape sun and I'd recommend misting a lot outdoors.
