Panther Cham not eating plz help

So my panther ambelobian Cham is almost 2 now he is in the biggest reptibreeze cage I can get basking spot with a ceramic bulb that gets to 94-95 degrees ambient around 72 near the bottom and around. Any other questions feel free to ask.

Now recentally he hasn't been wanting to eat he only wants to play. Now I have a cup so that he can eat whenever but he will only eat one maybe two crickets out of the cup. When I walk in the room every time he will bolt to the front of his cage I'll take him out let home roam on a free rang plant I have in the room for him then ill put him up or let him make the choice if he wants to be in the cage or out by putting the plant up to the cage so he can go in and out and he still won't really eat. Now I just added a new plant to the car to give the big guy some cover thinking that it would make him feel more comfortable to stay in his cage but it is still the same and now he isn't eating as much what could this be? Any ideas guys

He needs a date, says his behavior. He is probably over just crickets and wants to mate, also. Combination of the two. Maybe lower that basking spot to 85-88°f. This will slow his sex drive down a little. Feed him some BSF, silkworms, hornworms, moths, butterflies, mantids, walking sticks, etc... this will help with the boredom. That'll be $350 for the Rx. Schedule a 6 week follow up appt on your way out. :D

Try something that flys. The cheapest would be Blue Bottle Flies. You can keep the pupae in the fridge and just hatch out what you need. If you get regular fecal tests and look only in a pesticide free area you could go for some wild bugs. You could try a dragonfly if you have any around you. Or butterflies, only give the dull colored ones. The brightly colored ones will taste bad and possibly be toxic. If you do a google search for black light bug trap, it will show you how to use a sheet and a black light to catch bugs at night. I recently started feeding green banana roaches, those are a big hit. They are green and fly. Look on the feeders forum Nick Barta a member sells them.

Reptisun 5.0 the tube light! And how do I give him the flies without them just flying off? He still hasn't eaten almost a week now idk what to do. I'm about to take him to a vet

I'd go with junglefries advice. The cham is probably bored and wanting to mate. Mine was the same way. I don't think I want to worry about 2 chams, so I ordered silks to add some variety. I kinda wanna try some mantids... you can get them from the same place as you get blue bottle flies (http://mantisplace.com/). First time my cham kind of stopped eating, I tried BBF and they worked.

This is him he doesn't look skinny does he he is almost two years old around

Replaced it when I added new plant about 6 weeks ago same time he started acting funny

Turn off the uvb bulb for a few days and see what happens. Lower his temps to around 85 for the high. I have my heat lamps turn off by noon, and try to have a cool down over night.

On the feeding flies, you need to put them in the fridge for 15 min to slow them down.

If you go to mantis place.com. Look for the cup o flies. It will give you everything you need to get started. Then you can order pupae or spikes and refill the cup o flies. You keep the spikes or pupae in the fridge and then just take some out. When you need them. Spikes will take about 8 days out of the fridge to hatch. Pupae will take a day or two. Pupae will start to hatch on the way in the mail. You will have flies in the package when you open it. I put mine in the freezer for 2 or 3 minutes( just don't forget about them the freezer will kill them). After you have done it a few times you will get the hang of it. I don't even put mine in the freezer half the time. I've learned to only hatch out about 15 at a time. I do them in a few different cups. Then I just slid the cup in the bottom opening of his enclosure and pop the top. I rarely lose one. It sounds confusing but once you get the cup o flies it's pretty self explanatory. The cup o flies will be a few feedings so you will need to use the freezer method. Next time I hatch some I think I'll do a you tube video. I feel like I've written this before. Order your cup o flies and some pupae and get them on the way to you. Select hold at the post office for pick up. I live in Florida and I've never lost any bugs I've held for pick up. It's the delivery truck and sitting on you doorstep they will kill them. Get them on the way and I'll make a video tomorrow. I'll post after I make it so check tomorrow.
