Panther chameleon eye issue

Hello,
I have a male 7 month old ambanja panther chameleon.
He had been shedding some about a week ago and now I think there may be something wrong with his eye.

At first I thought it was dead skin from the shedding because ive seen the same thing before but now it looks as if his eye pinhole has become mis-shapen.

The white area is right above the pinhole on his right eye. and it looks as If his right eye pinhole has a more triangle shaped top rather than round now.

Is this something I need to worry about and that I need to go to the vet about?

Do you think this is just dead skin that will go away or something else?
It has been about a week since he has had it.

From the pictures it does look like just left over skin. It should fall off at some point on its own but some extra mistings or even a shower might help loosen it up enough that you could gently take it off for him.

If you notice anything else like swelling or any fluid / junk in his eye then you might want to consider the vet so they can remove it and get his eye all cleaned up.

I would remove it for him but he would get all wigged out and scared from me just holding him in the first place

I would try giving him a shower. Place a plant or something in the shower and let the water hit and wall and splash back onto the plant. He should enjoy it and most likely start to drink a lot too. That should keep his eye moist and the shed should start to work its way off.

Look at the two pictures I just posted.

One of the eyes is normal and round and the other has a pointed top to the pin hole which does not seem normal from shedding.

The white skin also almost looks as if its part of his actual skin.

The pointed top looks as if it is permanent.

I have been misting him a lot more often and for longer.
