Parsonii gets new clothes

This is my boy Parsnip getting new clothes- liking the white socks especially- it was bedtime so he was getting all puffy and annoyed in the photo!
I've had them now for 6months+ and despite me worrying all the time they are no trouble at all- touch wood- He is now over a year old and in oct he weighed 195g- shame on me i havent weighed him recently- takes food from forceps but he was extremly shy so it's always been trial and error as to whether he feels confident enough to feed whilst I'm in view- most of the time he would but in the last month every time i offer an adult dubia or something he takes it- I'm really proud of how well he's done and feeding is becoming easier by the day- I'm pleased to say the female hasn't stopped feeding either- she is happy to continue eating even though I thought she might slow down during winter- she has access to a heat lamp so can digest easily. Both enjoy drinking and showering immensely and it's been wonderful to see them doing this.
I have plans for the spring to supply them with much larger enclosures so am looking forward to that.

Happy New Years all you Parsoneers!

Here he is back in june as a tiny shy little 65g shrimp

Do you mind?! He's just big boned :ROFLMAO::p someone mentioned here on another post about their parsons having 'elephant legs' which made me laugh, rather appropriate though, parsons are rather chunky!

It is so amazing how chunky Parsons can look but when they move they are just like all the smaller species, all muscle. Chameleons are creatures of pure muscles XD

Thanks all, I will think of him as the hulk now, he's always looking like he's on the verge of losing it! Think it's just their expression! He's pretty well behaved really considering he wasn't handled until I got him.
Thanks link, imagine what he'll look like when he's adult! Phew can't wait!

Hi, no he is CB and I think CBB as is the female, both from Germany originally , so many reasons I would never do WC so I'm lucky to of found these. :)

Ah. Ok. I was just curious, because you said he was never really handled until you got him, and based on the baby picture, I figured you got him out of the wild. He is very handsome! You should put this pic into the photo contest for Jan.

No worries(y)- He's done very well considering- in the summer he went outdoors every day for the sunshine- but every evening I had to pick him up and get him back for the night-no way around it, I was very worried he wouldn't cope well with actual handling when you hear some of the stories but he never dropped eating or drinking and behaviour didnt change so he does very well- he goes a bit puffy and gapes sometimes but everyday I held him he would relax a little more. When I first got him he had really just been growing on in a viv with no need to be picked up or anything- when he first arrived he'd flatten out and hide behind branches, he was so nervous, didnt really eat for 3 weeks so it was quite a panicky time!
I've been very spoilt by my panther who is so unbelievably friendly and chilled out but it would be nice to have an animal that you can handle and manage so fingers crossed.:)

My veiled is the same way. He will puff, gape, and actually try to bite when I need to get him out of the cage, but once he's out, he'll pretty chilled, as you can tell by my avatar. I want a panther SO MUCH!!! They are so colorful, and I would love to have a "friendly and outgoing" cham!

Personally speaking my panther is wonderful-I hope you do manage to get one- I can't quite believe that when I see some that bite that they are the same species but my panther was secondhand! he had been bought at a few months old and had a household of kids, friends, dogs, cats, so when he arrived here they was no acclimatising to a new environment- he just carried on- nothing bothers or phases him, he comes out on his terms which would be all day if he could, he's a treasure and I'm so lucky to have him. I love him to bits
Good luck with your quest! but Echo looks like a beautiful boy.

OMG! He is the most gorgeous, handsome boy ever! I just love him and I love his name! Theirs skin always reminds me of elephants too for some reason! I love the scalation on his thighs. It's fascinating how each species has different scale patterns.

Thanks Tiff, can't wait for him to go turquoise and orange , imagine that, love their scale pattern too, so different from species to species.
Might go and see a certain gecko for sale tomorrow! ;)
