Planted Enclosure

Has anyone ever done a planted terrarium, almost a garden inside the enclosure?
If so did it work out ok?

I'm talking like planting grass in the bottom, a couple long stemmed leafy plants, I don't know, some beans growing up little posts or something?
Or moss... Whole bed of moss on the bottom.

You generally don't want to use anything on the bottom for mainly two reasons, first you run the risk of substrate getting swallowed up by you chameleon. Believe me it happens a lot with it. Second you want to be able to keep your environment clean, because bacteria and other cooties can cause a whole series of problems. So my best advice is to keep the bottom free of anything other then a potted plant and climbing tools.

What do u want to put in there???a big toad?
Ha, no. But moss is a high humidity releasing plant.

from what I have read you're definitely right about accidentally eating substrate being a high possibility. Was just curious about if it anyone has had success with it.

Moss is also deadly to swallow, try put more safer plants in there or use a auto mister, unless u put a divider on top of ur moss so ur precious cham wont accidentally swallow the feeder with it:)

Was not aware of the poison risk with moss actually.

Yes big huge extra hairball impaction in that tiny fragile super cute chamy stomach
Gotcha, no moss lol. I was just curious about the possibility to do a heavily planted enclosure, attempt to replicate natural environment after double checking what would be safe in their new home.
