plants for buddy!

so ia am putting together buddys new home n were shopping for plants, ran across a real pretty tropical plant just donno if its safe its a BROMELAID or a DUMB CANE. i did look at the list but was told to post neways just incase some1 knew of these plants. thanx!!

I just researched both of these plants,,,dumb cane it says is a poisonus plant,,,and the other,,,due to its root system atracts various organisms,,,,,so,,,if it was for my little guy i would say,,,,No Way!!!!
