Hi all. So just curious how many plants do you all typically have in a 2x2x4. I currently have 18 granted some are new and will take a bit to grow in.

I think it depends on if it is a bioactive or not... I typically have 4 in a 2x2x4 space. In my large Atrium I have 8. But all mine are mounted and in half gallon pots.

Nah not bio active yet its just a combination of different plants leaf shape structure colour.

Yeah I purposely buy more mature plants... My veileds are too rough on smaller ones. And I use larger pots that I mount so they do not get root bound as quickly.

Yeah I've had to buy delivery stuff from reptile stores rather than nurseries which is smaller due to lock down

I like to have less, but bigger plants. My 2x2x4 right now just has a pothos and a big dracaena, along with some fake plants and other stuff just for looks.

I have a dracena marginata but don't think it has structural climbing properties. But do you think veileds have less limited plants. I like to have big plants in my enclosure but like to mix things up with lots of other small plants for different shapes and colours and also plants that both produce co2 during the day and night time ?

I dont even know how many i have , i put as much as i could to give a lot of foliage and also aesthetically pleasing for me . Also my enclosure is bio.

Yeah it's very therapeutic I'm hoping to go bio next year so this is giving me a good insight into what plants work best for me

8 in a double-wide, so divide by 2. All are... mature enough.

• 3 centerpieces (2 reach the ceiling)
• 3 climbers
• 1 hanging
• 1 very tall snake plant in a back corner

Probably 10-12 replacements just in case...

It is indeed! I just stay and stare at it for hrs hahaha

My enclosure is 28"x20"x 40"
I have 4 main pots plus laybin. And a couple small pots hanging.
Indid some combination planting with them to fill things up.
I have a money tree, hibiscus and 2 umbrella plants as my main big plants.
I have pothos and wandering jew, and peperomia planted around the main plants.
I have a mini fuchsia and a coleus planted on one side of the laybin.
And a spider plant hanging in the back corner
Plants are a hobby for me.
I want to build my girl a bigger enclosure so I can add more plants. Lol

See some keepers have a small amount of large mature plants but I love the diversity of having lots of different small plants so I have lots of different leaf shapes and sizes textures and colours. One of the plants I got yesterday dwarf umbrella which some use as a centre piece I want to keep in a small pot and looks great . And should do fine in it allowing me to not only create a good enclosure but a very stimulating 1 for my girl and me

I only have 2 right now.... Areca palm and 2 pothos. There's SO much more i want in there... but most of my plants are in recovery from his FAT ASS ruining them all that pic actually doesn't have the pothos in there yet but i did that the other day lol

Umbrella, aglaonema mondo bay, alocasia polly and a prayer plant. With a pathos hanging off the top. It’s nice to see your plants actually grow and know your not killing them.

Love the prayer plant (maranta) was thinking about switching my Boston fern for one

I have a money tree in mine which is surprisingly doing great! I thought it would die really fast, but it keeps growing and growing. I also have 3 golden pothos and one other pothos not sure of the exact name. All my plants are doing great though, super happy about it. Also agree on it being aesthetically pleasing and therapeutical, almost as obsessed with the jungle I created as much as my little girl.
