Possible MBD?

The bad thing about antibiotics is that they wipe out any good gut bacteria along with the bad bacteria. I've heard of some people using reptile focused probiotics to help replenish good gut bacteria, which can help with appetite, but I'm not entirely certain how successful it is. It sounds good in theory at least.

Hmm, I'll ask the vet about that. It's rough because there are certainly times where he'll take a few supers that I've gut loaded and dusted with repashy's cal plus, so that feels like a small victory, but there's other times where it's not so much and I occasionally force feed him a food item or two. Doesn't help that he doesn't like roaches and crickets anymore ;), but I also don't want to overstress if he's still feeling under the weather.

He might also just need time. Depending on the amount of coccidia, the treatment can be hard on them, even with the more "gentle" medicines. How is he hydration wise?

I think he's good, he drinks every day, but doesn't rush for water. The vet said his saliva didn't look too thick, so that's good. He's not pooped in a while, so can't tell via urate. I'm just hoping he didn't get reinfected with coccidia after his last clean fecal and the cage purge I did. Once he poops, though, I'll be rushing down to the vet with it.

Also, if he's not pooped in a while, do you think getting him in the shower will help that along, or possibly just spraying him with warm water from a spray bottle?

A long shower couldn't hurt. I give my young Veiled 20 min showers once a week, sometimes skipping weeks, because I'm paranoid about dehydration even though he looks great and has white urates lol.

Squishy feeders like hornworms that are high in water content are also good. Will he eat hornworms at all? I know you mentioned he was a picky eater.

He will sometimes eat hornworms, yes. It's been a while since he's shot one from my hand himself, but since I need to get him to gape for his meds, I could manage to get one in his mouth when he's angry with me.

I might give that a try then and see how he does with time. Taking him out into some good sunlight might help as well. I've heard that it can help stimulate the appetite.
