Preparing for my first chameleon, tips appreciated

They may not have misted her at the pet supply . They maybe relied on the dripper . Has she had a poo yet ? If so how are they looking ?
 
I haven't seen a poo yet, no. They did use a dripper at the store. I think I'll make a drip system for her.

She's just been hanging out by the feed cup with her eyes closed. When I walk by she'll look at me, but I think her eyes are bothering her. She was rubbing them on a branch earlier

Yes closed eye are not good through day . It could be lighting or shed . Or something else happy you are getting her to vet .
 
I am guessing she has something stuck in her eyes. They don't look infected, at least not badly yet. But the rubbing is usually a huge sign that there is something stuck in them. Lights don't cause that as often.
 
I was thinking the same after seeing how she's acting today.

She's more alert now, hanging out with the feeding cup just kind of snacking as she pleases, so a poop is inevitable
 
I'll order her some BSFL and hornworms for the hydration since she hasn't caught on to mist drinking too much yet, and I'll work on making a dripper today. I need to run to a store for stuff anyway
 
Not really. Her mouth looks like its wanting to she'd but she isn't actively shedding 14995330679171838306738.jpg
 
When you put the water in the mister, did the mist come out warm? Often you need hot water, sometimes combined with a small bit of cooler water to make it actually warm when it comes out.

Agreed I go pretty hot , I actually have a fish tank heater in the reserve . It's not hot coming out but it's definitely warm .
 
She didn't run from the misting this time, just sat in it with her eyes closed. A few mouth openings.
She watched the drip and seemed interested, starting walking to it, turned around, and snuggled into the draceana.

Her appetite is great at least, she seems to love those roaches. Lights are just about to go out and she's asleep
 
That is much better, seems like she's adjusting well. And seems much healthier than your other girl was for now. Just keep up what your doing and definitely get her eyes flushed.
