Have you bred her? It does look like stress colors please fill out the How to ask for help form..

definitely one stressed out cham, it would be a good idea to get her cage fixed , get lighting and drippers in place and not bother her for several days. probably be best not to take any more pics until you are able to get some good ones that have some real value. when xanths get severely stressed out for extended periods of time during pregnancy, they can begin to absorb the unborn neonates.

I believe Jackson's come in a wide variety of colors. I'm not really seeing the red in the picture (love the karate picture though). There are a few members who work with Jackson's extensively. I would be interested to see what one or more of them say about your chameleon.

Xanthoman is one of the ones I was thinking of.

I'm not seeing the red either. Are you talking about the gular region? If so, that seems to be common. But then I am not sure if you are referring to "see thru" the tissue due to light or the streaking that occurs in the folds.

Gotta agree that she appears to have either stress or gravid colours -- her tummy looks pretty rotund too. How long have you had her, where'd you get her, do you know how old she is...etc.

I had red phase of Jackson's few years back.
I purchased her from kingsnake.com and died of problem of eggs.
anyway, red phase of Jackson's is not so unusual.

Yes, reds are available but this one just looks stressed, not red. And, just what kind of "egg" problem did yours have? ...they are live bearers. Sorry you lost it, Jackson's are wonderful Chams.

Maybe pics with better lighting could help discern the pigments better on this particular animal. But don't stress her any further by taking any.

yes, actually they are adorable chams, what I was saying was she laid some not fully developed egg-like stuffs and died. I don't what was worng with her. But, I was so disappointed.

Do something once a photo of the terrarium of the animal.
