Reluctant female Jackson´s Chameleon.

I´ve just been blessed with 8 baby Jackson´s Chameleons from our youngest female.

However, our largest female has consistently refused to have anything to do with both of our males. She presented us with 12 slugs early this year and is quite plump again.

My husbandry is ok - we´ve had our Jackson´s Chameleons for a couple of years now and they are otherwise thriving. I´m obviously not correctly timing my presentation of them to each other. What signs should I look for in the female to see that she may be receptive? Should I present her to our male in his vivarium for a change? They are housed in separate rooms.

Any advice welcomed.

A week or two after she drops her next litter try introducing them. Keep trying on a weekly basis.

Looking for her to be plain green, with no dark patching. Every week, just show her the male from outside her cage. She will darken or gape, if uninterested. I keep mine side with a divider. I lift the divider to gauge her response. Some jacksons like the rainy season or more humidity at the time. I usually try mine in the morning or evening for mating.

The past many months she has simply puffed up, inflated her gular pouch and gaped at him every time he has been placed in her sight. If she drops slugs again, which I think she will, I´ll follow your advice.
