so im looking put some more humidity into my chams home, ive been looking online at a bunch of different systems..... the repti fogger seems like a good deal for the price, im just not sure how good they are or how long they last. Anybody have any experience with these?

Do you need more humidity ? What are you you misting with and how often? Are you measuring humidity with?

i spray down the whole cage a few times a day with a spray bottle, i recently rescued this little guy from a petstore that closed, he only came with a cage some fake plants and a light. He was and is still in pretty bad shape, one of his eyes is totally gone and the skin has grown over the eye socket, he keeps his other eye closed all the time, ive been force feeding him super worms when i can get him to open his mouth, he also has a little kink in his tail. im taking him to the vet tomorrow..... hopefully he pulls through, i feel so bad for him

im trying to get all the correct equipment but this is getting a bit exspensive especially since i know the vet bill wont be cheap haha but i guess its all part of having and keeping animals!

Good luck with him. I would wait for a few more replies. If you are able to mist him regularly it may be enough. Have you had him in the shower. Put him on a plant and aim the water on to the wall and let it bounce. The droplets should encourage him to drink. Also you could dribble water on to his nose. Mine loves that and he will have a good drink from a hand mister.:)

Yep i made a little rope that i hang around shower head for him to hold on to,i can tell he really really likes it, I've been doing that at least once a day. He has a vet appointment tomorrow so hopefully i get some good news, i really love the little guy and i don't want anything else bad to happen cause he has already had a hard start to life:(

Stay away from the Repti fogger. They are JUNK.... You would be better off to up the times you mist him a day. Also may want to use a humidifier but put it on a timer, maybe 30 minutes on and an hour off. Do that rotation a couple times a day. Good luck with the little guy! What kind is he?

The reptifogger is waste of money imo. I bought one n my cham hated it. I think the fog scared him lol just mist the cage more often. Also live plants like ficus or schefflerra arbicola will help keep humidity up a lot better than fake plants

I have a Reptifogger and love it!! I have a glass bottom cage.... So I don't have drainage
I have a dripper going and the Reptifogger is on a timer... Keeps
The RH up....

i got rid of the fake plants and put in a pothos, he is a blue ambanja, thats the other thing im not sure on the sex ive just been calling "it" a him lol im gonna do some more research on other ways to provide more humidity, i need to figure out a drain if im gonna have a dripper or anything that puts out a lot of water.

I mist 3 times a day and I use the Reptifogger all day and night to keep the humidity up, My veiled loves it, he will sit under it or go up and drink the droplets of water on top of the cage or he will drink them from the leaves. I have had no problems with mine, i do put distilled water in mine to prolong the life of the machine :)

I'd say worthless for a source of drinking. Great for small glass enclosures, but a humidifier from Target with some Home Depot plumbing will work just as good.

If your chameleon enclosure isn't humid enough, get a big humidifier for the room. A screen cage will not keep any humidity for a long period of time if the rest of the room is dry.

I recently purchased one and I think it works extremely well, but I live in the desert so I need a constant source of moisture in between manual mistings (asking Santa for a mist king for Xmas). It did freak the little guy out at first, but he's adjusting to it now. I also use a dripper during the day and he has plenty of plants that also help with humidity.

I have a Jackson's so they do have very different humidity requirements from what I've seen and heard here on the forum. The other idea of getting a humidifier is good too- either for the room or rigged with a hose for the cage will work great too. Good luck.

I LOVE my Reptifogger too! I'm not home to mist alot- so the fogger keeps the humidity perfect! It was just the right price too; AND easy as hell to set up.

Just my two cents.
