Schefflera Trinette

Okay I would like to ask a question to those who are highly knowledgable about plants. I have seen several people call a species of Schefflera, that has lots of yellowish whites on the leaves, Schefflera arboricola. Now I have always known this species to be completely different from arboricola and have always thought it to be Schefflera trinette. I thought that arboricola always kept plain green leaves, and that they never changed to yellows and whites, unless of course the leaves were dead. If I am in fact right, is trinette still a safe plant as arboricola is? And besides the difference in leaf coloration, is there any other big difference such as size, ease of care, etc? Also, as arboricola grows and ages, the trunks and limbs begin to turn a greyish color compared to being green when young. Is this the same with trinette?

Come on guys...

I know there's some knowledgable plant people on here. Tell me your thoughts on this.

I'm almost certain that is exactly the one. The leaves seem to have a rounder shape and the yellows a little darker, but the limbs are also greyish, so I would assume that that's what happens to the leaves as they age. What I'm talking about with the plant that I've seen in home depot before, labeled as trinette, had more elongated leaves and the yellows were not as dark, but also the limbs did not appear that old and rugged, so I'm pretty sure they are the same plant.

Regardless let's say that is the plant and it is trinette. Are they different than arboricola, meaning they are not the same plant, and what are the characteristcs that they have, that I mention in the 1st post?

the plant is posted a pic of is a variegated hawaiian elf, schefflera arboricola 'variegata'
Ok I googled it and I am starting to think that trinette is actually called Schefflera arboricola trinette and is just a subspecies of arboricola. If it is, that would explain why I have heard people call it arboricola. I also seen on google that the plant is being called 'variegata' as well as the Hawaiian umbrella plant. So I think that trinette and variegata are actually the same, maybe...

But for the variegata, is it yours? Or do you know if it is safe if a cham munches on it, or if it produces any kind of irritant sap when say a leaf falls off or a branch breaks?

I ask because I have a nearly year old male Veiled, and he has munched on my dwarf arboricola a few times a while back, but has never showed any real interest in eating vegetation. But I want to make sure that if he gets that urge to eat some leaves, they won't harm him.

BTW, thanks for replying about this. I've been thinking about this for a while and after I posted it I thought no one would ever respond, so I appreciate it.
