Sick chameleon

I have had a veiled chameleon for about a year and recently he had a bump on his nose so we took him to the vet. He first got antibiotics, but took a turn for the worse and is now not eating, very lethargic, and has not had a bowel movement in over 2 weeks. So we got some parasite medicine from the vet, we have been giving him that, have been soaking him, and feeding him a powder mixture. He seemed a little better yesterday, was climbing on a stick, but today after we soaked and fed him, he vomited and now is laying on the ground with his eyes closed. If he makes it through the day, is there anything else we can do? If he is impacted with parasites, is there any other treatment for that other than the medicine?

Does your reptile vet specialise in exotics/herps? Theres nothing you can really do at home if he/she is in that kind of condition now.

Yes, it is an exotic vet. I wasn't sure if i should take him back to the vet, if there was anymore more aggressive they can do, or just the parasite meds is all they do for this type of case? if he is impacted, is there any specific treatment for that?

Did the vet do a fecal to determine what kind of parasite he has?
What kind of antibiotic are you giving, and what is the dose?

Antibiotics are rough on a chams system, and they may not eat or drink.
They may also have diarrhea while on the treatment, and most of the time, antibiotics are given only for a few weeks at the most.

He is done with the antibiotic, I am not sure of the name of it, but it was a 0.1 mL dose. I was wondering if the antibiotics were hard on their system because he seemed worse when he was taking it. We didn't do a fecal test because he hasn't had a bowel movement in weeks to get one.

How then did your vet determine he has parasites?
There are several different types, and different meds.
You need to be sure you are giving the correct med for the type of parasite, and a fecal test (or for some, a blood test) is the only way to determine that.
