well I'm super chuffed this evening. arrived home to find my other male chasing the female around and looking at her, she has some small marks where it looks like they have been engaged in the battle of love........... :eek:

But to top that, I looked in the other viv and found this going on again........

So it would seem that on this valentines day that love really is in the air what ever species you are! :D

All though I'm completely jumping the gun iv decided to name a male and female baby, 1 from each pair (all going well for this first pregnancy for each of the ladies!) Venus and Cupid - after the god/goddess of Loooooooove. lol

are the pairs totally unrelated?
 
A male from one pair is related to the female of the other. so effectively cousins? not sure how that works out in terms of future breeding

I weighed Gretel this evening and OMG she's now 33 grams. She's put on 11 grams and she's not due until end April so I believe. :eek:
 
Looks really good! I don't know what to do about a new set-up now. I love my vivs but would like them taller, but then id miss out on some width. If i end up getting a large reptibreeze iv been playing with a design to make a fake background out of foam! But its going to be very time consuming!


Sad times, my Greener of the 2 females and the one subjected to rough play by my other male, has been sitting with her eyes closed! she is extremely unhappy and I don't know what to do to help her. Any ideas anyone?

No, I'm really stressing over it as use isn't interested in feeding and I don't have any other viv to put her in. I Know I need to do something quick but I don't know what to do for the best. I really need for someone to buy the male, I have ads up everywhere now!

you could set up a temp frer range for her.

Oh no. :( I don't know what to suggest. Could anyone lend you a viv, although you still need the basking lamp, uv etc. Is she drinking? What are you feeding?
 
Actually I have loads of plants that I have planned for the new cage (if I get one, il free range her on that for now! good suggestion! thank you! :D

i mean its not ideal. but then you can keep them both, and just free range her. and get some new lights of course. I hope it all works out...
 
Great idea. I hope she will be okay Mike, I can understand that you are really worried about her as I would be too.
 
Well iv set up some plants and made some vine climbing frames so its a lot of space for her to climb around on. I don't have the space to set up another viv so I think the male from this pairing will have to go, I plan on putting the female in with the other pair at some point in an XL-Reptibreeze which is well over twice the size of the current vivs put together, so the male was being sold anyway.
 
well I am happy to report that my female is now eating and drinking again and is back in her viv with the male and doing great. happily cohabiting again and filling her face on wax worms!

As for the other female who mated several times over the valentines day period, she is happily getting fat. I'm sure its not the pregnancy side of things yet, but her appetite is phenomenal!
