Treating water?

Hey guys, hope your all doing well.

Was curious as to what everyone does with their water. Mine- from the tap- is relatively soft, but I let it sit out in six 1 gallon jugs so it goes stale before using it. I've sprayed my frogs directly with the stuff for months, and months and it makes them hungrier if anything.

Input, etc. greatly appreciated.

I have an RO system but I'm sure not everyone does. My daughter is in college and she buys the big jugs of water for hers.

After researching fairly extensively when I got my cham, it seems like the three common harmful substances that could be in your tap are chlorine, chloramines, and flouride. The chlorine/chloramines can be easily removed with reptisafe or a brita filter. I did not find a feasible way to remove the fluoride from my water since that would require investing in a reverse osmosis filter. But I was not willing to subject my cham to the possible consequences of flouride, so I have a 5 gallon water jug that I can refill at the grocery store for 30 cents/gallon.
