I forgot to mention. The fecals all came back clean!
I also had fecals done on both the male and female and they came back clean.
I was surprised.

I checked my own fecals this morning and could not find anything for either the male or the female. I am still going to get it checked by a vets office next week just to be certain. So far both have had perfect looking poop with nice white urate and oblong brown packet and each has been going around the same time each day.
My only concern at this point is for the shed around my males horns and face. He was shedding when I received them Tuesday but it has not flaked off of his face. I am not sure how long I should wait to before i intervene or what I should do at all. Any thoughts?
Here is a photo of my gorgeous hoehnelli female basking. She is doing great. Unfortunately, the male died within a couple of days of receiving them, which sucks after waiting a year.

the male looks skinny, have you check himout for parasites?
My Johnstoni female passed away. She saw a vet the second day I had her and again 4 days later but could not be saved. I am posting this for the thread as information only. She was gravid with 10 yolk follicles that were not fully developed. The vet did a necropsy and this is how I found out she was gravid.
She was very dehydrated, had a severe respitory infection and some nodules on the inside of her ribcage. They are going to look further today to determine exactly what those nodules are and will let me know. I post this only in the hopes that it will help some of the other keepers who purchased these to know what they might want to look for. Good luck to everyone with these fantastic chameleons.
Sorry to hear this, Steve. Was she the only only female in your collection?
Males are never "fat",he looks in a great shape,if i'm correct they did a check for parasites allready
I beleieve it is the angle of the pic. I had that male for over a week and he ate like a champ and in no way appeared skinny or malnourinished.jurgen, by all means you know more than me about chameleons in general, but I see the spine and rive of the male, I have learn that thats how I see the chameleons are undernourished
