Sounds like you’re off to a good start. Once your bank account cools off, make your next investment a Solar Meter 6.5. Then you can test all your bulbs, and know when it’s time to change them. They cost about $230, but well worth it. I test all the lights every week or so. It’s also cool to see how screen effects the readings, and what the sun actually provides at different times of year, angles, and temperatures.
That device does not measure UVB accurately, it is intended to measure UVC. There are really only a few commercial devices made with UVB as the primary spectrum measured, and they are all Solar Meter devices. These include the 6.0 and 6.2 (UVB), and 6.5 (reads index). And they all cost about the same. Also, just saw that Solar Meter has rebranded a few as meters specifically for reptile lights. Not to sidetrack @Mai thread but I was looking at this one last night. Looks pretty decent for a bit less then the solar meter/ zoo med branded
ones.
