UVB output charts

Hey that's a useful chart when selecting which bulb you want to use. Unfortunately the bulbs that I was looking at aren't on there. I found a deal on some Exo-Terra Solar-Glo bulbs. They come in 125W and 160W versions and they are a type of MVB.

Has anybody heard anything on this type of mercury vapor bulb yet?

Dyesub Dave. :D

Haven't heard of that one Dave. I'm not surprised that exo-terra is cashing in on mvb market though. I wish every bulb would have that spectrum iiradiance output chart like the inferior bulb I bought I had, but the superior bulb I bought didn't. It should required, like calories per serving stuff on food packages.

The t-rex looks like the best one you can get, but I paid $65 for mine. The outside of the box says "equivelant to real sunshine uvb" to which I balked but bought it anyway. And then comparing it to actual sunshine uvb output on that chart, it's actually not that far off! Even comparable at close ranges!

What is this mythical Zoo Med Power Sun 60watt that does not produce heat? Is it externally ballasted? Does it even exsist? Only EB MVB I know of at 60 watts is a Low UVB kit from reptileuv.com. hmmm
