Wax worms

are wax worms an appropriate feeder? if so should i dust them first?

wax worms are sacks of fat, they should be used once a month (or even year) Sandrachameleon corrected me that they shouldnt be fed every other week, now my chameleon has boobs (fat storage) so use them VERY sparingly

Wax worms are good for skinny chams, sick chams, a new cham you just brought home or the very occasional treat and no not need to be dusted. (unless you Chameleon is on deaths door ;D )

Its true, I dont like to offer waxworms at all. I save them for birthday presents cuz they're like eating cake icing. LOL

I am the same....only offer them occassionally as they are also notorious for making my chams go on hunger strikes as they dont want anything else. They are like kids with candy.

Now I feel a little silly for buying 100 of them. But it's ok because the leopard geckos seem to like them and I will offer some to the toads later tonight.

They'll keep a little longer if you chill them.
Caution - the geckos might not want anything else after waxworm candies
