and i've already seen him drink right in front of me out of his dripper :p

Oh and just so everyone knows he has a sperm plug =P so i'm misting him a lot in that area. Any other suggestions? is it safe to just pull it out gently? I wouldn't know because i've only had a female.

I read about this on facebook, but seeing the pics just made me laugh! Good job you were there to see what he was up to! He is a gorgeous boy and I'm glad he's settling in ok! You may find sperm plugs on branches etc once the one that is there has gone. Tommy usually rubs his on his branch after he poops.:D Lovely! Boys, eh?!

A bird cage is not adequate for chameleons. That's why it's called and sold as a bird cage. If your chameleon notice a fly or any other insect outside the cage and try to shoot it, the chances are very high that the tongue could be hurt

Why doesn't anyone read??? and it's not a bird cage it's a dog kennel. It's only temporary, I'm building his cage as we speak. I also turned it into a free range for the time being and moved his heat lamp.

He could hurt himself squeezing through the bars. He's a nice looking boy Kayla!

Thank you Jann =D but i'm SOOOOOOO jealous of your babies! I want one so bad  But I guess I should apease my boyfriend and if I ever get another one I should get a panther. My cage I am making is going to be a double. The bars aree very far apart and he basically waked through them :p but he nevever goes back in it anyway. I should be done his new cage within the week.

When I was moving into our new house last year, I VERY TEMPORARILY put my Panther in the "Cricket Cage". You know those little plastic things in pet stores that have the tubes for the crickets to crawl in.

It was only to transport him from the apartment to the new house, and keep him in while I setup his cage in the house.

Well, I go to check on him, and what has the genius done?

He climbed up the side of the cage to one of the little trap doors the the tubes for the crickets go into. He wedged his head through, and basically got stuck. So I walk in the room, and he's practically hanging by his head out of this hole. I had to cut the plastic off his head. Definitely a traumatic experience for both of us. Don't underestimate your chameleon's ability to get himself into trouble!

I am taking the kennel out today anyway, he isn't in it so there's no use for it being up. He is a silly boy, he wanders all over but never off his free range.
