Hey just wondering if any of you gave your chams something special for thanksgiving... i did. My male and female veileds both recieved a fresh newborn pinkie mouse....boy did they love it.

so i wasnt the only one in my apartment that had a filling thanksgiving.:D

I didn't have anything more exciting than a waxworm (and the same ol', same ol' crickets) to offer Thanksgiving day - but went to the petstore over the weekend, and Thaxter got a great big hornworm. He even got a bonus hornworm when it became clear that the gecko was scared of it (you never want to waste a hornworm). AND we restocked our superworm supply, so it looks pretty good going into the holidays.

(I told him his Thanksgiving crickets were turkey dinner, but I don't think he believed me. Or cared.)

LOL I thought I was the only one silly enough to give treats to uncaring chameleons on thanksgiving and other occasions! How nice Im not the only nut. Thanksgiving was awhile ago for Canadians, but at the time everyone got a fat hornworm for lunch. :)

"Uncaring"? If there's hornworms involved, EVERYBODY cares.

MIne got a whole lot of nothing:p well except for the babies before I went to my moms house. It was the day off for the adults. I love thanksgiving and spending time with my family but I think its a misrepresented holiday since I am part native american;) BUT! Like I said its great to spend with the family and have a nice big feast. MMMMMMM PUMPKIN PIE MMMMMMMM:rolleyes:

Mine got the last of the big fat silkies, some roach nymphs and some stick bugs.

They got to show off for guests in small groups. It's nice to have a few that aren't too shy about eating in front of people.

mine hardly eat in front of strangers, wonder what the equivalent to pumpkin pie would be for chams?.....maybe sugar water...lol.
