What does his color mean?

Idk if anyone else has addressed this but he looks like he has MBD... can you get close up pics of all his legs, his spine and his casque?

Nope. Haven't seen a clear picture to make that assumption how ever the casque does look very odd who knows wat kinda treatment the pore guy had b4 the op got to him

Exactly why I was asking.

Regarding the artificial plants...veileds do try to eat the leaves sometimes whether they are well fed or not. I don't know why they can't recognize that they aren't real...but they can't.

I took out the ficus and got him a mass cane/pothos combo. This is what it looks like....hoping since it sout big it will give him more cover

I am willing to do what ever he needs. He does have an old injury to his casque and his back so it makes him look funny. It looks like he was either cut or burned, I am uncertain but there is a large scar. Currently he hates me so I haven't wanted to mess with him to get a better pic....plus today is the 1st whole day he didn't hide on me which I think is improvement. Please let me know if there are any other changes I need to make for him. He has already grown on me

His casque almost looks like it has an infection going on? Anyone else agree? It is severely swollen from the looks in the picture and he doesn't look heavy enough to have those large of fat stores for sure . Otherwise his legs are a bit swollen but with his casque the way it is I would lean more towards water retention or infection there... Unless I am totally seeing the picture wrong?

The proper way to keep a vailed is with live plants that it can nibble on as well offering it greens such as mustard greens and collard greens as it is a plant eater by nature ..a vailed chameleon has no way of reasoning wat is real and wat is fake

Thanks for telling me. I've never been told that information, so it looks like I'm going to be making some changes for everyone over here Im glad I heard before any of mine took a bite out of some plastic, that would not be good.

Possibly, if I look at it really closely....it's too hard to tell for sure from the pictures though. I think some more focused ones might help us out here.

Your chameleon needs to go to a vet immediately. That's most likely a sinus infection and it looks pretty bad. The chameleons head shouldn't be that swollen.

This is a better pic from the other day of his casque and scar in his back. He did have a previous injury to this area.

Yeah he needs to go in. I am not sure if it's a sinus infection honestly or something else since he was injured there. But he needs to be looks at. Also looking at the front forelimb in that picture he may have some mild mbd going on

Edit: I wouldn't be surprised if some of the swelling in his legs is from infection. But there is a slight bend in what looks like the bone of that forelimb too.
