I can't take it anymore!
I must rant about my own cricket experiences. I wanted to wait until my shipment FINALLY came in from American Cricket Ranch before I said anything bad about them....... My package FINALLY came today. I ordered 1000 5 week old crickets on the 7th of Jan. They didn't ship until the 8th supposedly showed up on the 9th and not a living soul ever saw them. So I called and called and finally they said they will ship another package, yesterday it shipped. It showed up today. The box contains quite a few dead crickets.... oh and They are definitely not 5 weeks old... unless the cricket farm is located on the fountain of youth! I would also like to add that I asked for UPS ground... it came USPS.
So who have I purchased from?
The first time I ordered crickets was from LLL Reptile. Apparently they use a breeder on the east coast.... But the prices are good... kinda. They sent me what I asked for but they were ALL DOA. So I asked for the next size up on the reshipment. No prob. The next time I ordered 1000 3/8-1/2" and The box that came had 500 crickets in it and was checked for 500 3/8-1/2". The other issue I had that time was also that I asked for next day air shipping. Because the orders are shipped from some breeding company if you order on Monday they don't ship until the next day, Tuesday and you'll get your package next day on Wednesday...... I was a bit annoyed but whatever. I think I ordered one more time from them and had no issues... I just didn't like the number of DOAs and the fact that they take forever to get answers about problems because they are only the middle man.
The other place I have ordered from is Mulberry Farms. I have had NO issues with them at all! I love them and they give you 'free' worms with your order which is a nice treat for the boys.
The third place I have ordered from is ACR and.. well I've already told you that story.
I think I will try some of the other places listed above... or just go with Mulberry farms again. I haven't had any issues with them.
