With this budget, what setup would you get

I feel like I am going to burst in to flames with frustration! This is the second week in a row it has happened to one of my kiddos!!!! The other little guy spent 2 days in the box and was fine! This is exactly why I package my little guys so carefully! I can controll what I do but not what happens once the chameleon leaves my hands (well, Keith's hands!)! Working on it with growls.......!
I have no doubt he will be ok for 2 days, but if I can drive 1-2 hrs to get him today & lessen his box time then I will. Stupid fedex!!

My problem when Raistlin was on his way was I didn't know for sure where he was headed. I assumed that he would go from Tampa to Brooksville, but with no way of knowing I couldn't do a pick up at the facility. Is there any way to see the intended route? I was actually outside the facility that morning while he had arrived, but they were not open yet. I didn't want to risk switching it to pick up at facility just to be on the safe side, but I still panicked the entire time :).

It's supposed to be part of the label coding. Dru posted a break down somewhere on the fb page. For me the closest "hub" is at Gandy and 275 though for the hold at hub shipments.

I would have gone down there no problem, but I just couldn't figure it out. I wasn't sure if Tampa would be the main arrival or Orlando, Jacksonville, o_Oo_Oo_O

I would think your area would come into TPA like mine? Then from there up to where ever they have a hub up your way? The one time I was thrown for a loop and my box went from MN to IN then down to TPA though lol.

That's the info we can't get right now...there are 2 (maybe 3) options with this little one: they usually go through Indianapolis as there is a big sorting center there. There is a very small center in Cincinnati - things don't usually get sent there for Louisville. Sometimes things get sent directly to the Louisville airport, but being the main UPS hub, it's rare unless it is freight. I am more than happy to drive to any of those centers to pick up this precious box if it will hurry up the process...but we need to know where it is going!!!!!

Yep, that is how it came, but I am not used to caring about shipping so much! I couldn't be sure where the heck he was going to go. He was coming from Pennsylvania, so Anything was possible!

Yeah, I get it! That was the feeling I had for quite a few hours the day I put everyone through the "New Arrival" torture. Now maybe you will all understand that I was actually just sharing a lot of frustration and worry by torturing you all!!!

Oh if I have to drive to pick him up - you will see a pic of a box with nothing else for 2+ hours. I will open the box, check on baby, mist him, then settle him back into his cushy container for the ride home. I won't take time to post pics here...just enough to let @Matt Vanilla Gorilla know he is safe (or not - knock on wood this is not the case). Y'all will have to wait until I get home.

If that happens, I would wait 'till you get home to check on him. He will be far less stressed in darkness than if he is taken out and then has to endure a long ride. Just my opinion on things...

I wasn't going to leave him out in the light, but just a peek. I know I won't be able to wait 2+ hours before opening the box!

I'll keep my fingers crossed for today for you. I'm sure he'll be there tomorrow though if not today :D. Just sucks Memphis is one of their major hubs and they can't seem to get it right lately .
I understand that malfunctions happen, but in a company THAT big, there are ways to work around. I'm relieving stress by posting somewhat nasty (not vulgar) comments on my original thread started on the FedEx FB page. The squeaky wheel usually gets something done!
