Won't open eyes.

My panther chameleon won't open his eyes unless I give him a Shower. I gave him one yesterday and his eyes were open for the rest of the day. I woke up this morning and he couldn't open his eyes. I gave him a Shower and then he was able to get up, see, and walk around his cage. I've already scheduled an appointment for the vet but was wondering if anyone knows what's wrong or if they have gone through this.

If he is being lethargic during the day. I would take him to the vet. Pretty boy though

12 hours of light 12 hours of complete darkness that's what you do correct. What sometimes happens to mine when I screw with the times they get all confused sometimes. So I go between 10 and 12 of light a day during winter months I start dropping the time by 15 minutes every week and then when I get to 10 hours and start going up 15 minutes every week. Until I get to 12 hours a day during the summer

What's the distance to the uvb lam? What brand/type is it?
How often do you spray him (not counting showers)?

This is him at 4:30. He sleeps randomly like this and its like I have to give him a Shower to rinse his eyes out so he can see again.

Increasing the uvb is most likely not what you need to do. If he is having a bad reaction to the uvb it is likely you might have the wrong type of bulb or too strong of a bulb or the distance is not enough. What is your basking light, and what wattage?

I don't know if you have a solar meter. If you don't doesn't really matter but keep it around 5.0and make sure he is only about 12 to 6 inches from the source. I have many many many Panthers they all have their idiosyncrasies. But I definitely don't recommend to raising the UVB just from my experience don't take it as fact please keep me updated. Is it could be any thing from kidneys to infections so just keep on it
