Yet another Gutload question

Champeleons

I searched for a certain answer regarding gutloading, & eventually found 1 that partially answered me. I have had my crickets for over a week, but because i just got my chams yesterday, the special gutloading has only been done for 3 days. At 1st i separated about 25 crickets into a smaller container, with a jarlid of crack, a wet papertowel & a small piece of egg carton for sleeping. They didnt seem to be eating much of the food, so this morning i took out the egg carton, i figured maybe if they didnt sleep, they would eat more. Was that good, or will it be better to put the carton back?

The carton will help keep them happy because it offers security to them as a hiding spot.

i noticed i hardly see my crickets getting down on the crack, but my roaches gobble it up. it could be that roaches are more ferocious eaters. It's excellent stuff regardless.
