    how to wing it

Those instructions say it doesn't smell as bad as you think, so I'm wondering, if anyone's done this, how bad is the smell?

    New Baby Chameleon? Help please

I second what the last two said. If you can get back to where you found him, please release him back into the wild. I think that's the exact wrong way to do things. While you can get away with leaving him outside so you're setup is a little easier than mine in Norcal, there's still a lot to...

    Feeding banana roaches

Digby, they stayed in the cup just fine when I used olive oil. From what I've noticed they only seem to fly when startled.

    Feeding banana roaches

Looks like olive oil seems to work around the lip of the cup. Thanks Todnedo.

    Feeding banana roaches

Have some of them too. They're not quite at a stable colony size yet. Besides, I wanna provide some interesting feeders for him.

    Feeding banana roaches

How do people feed their chameleons P. Nivea? I cup feed and I figure they'll just run out and down into the plants to hide before my cham can get them.

    Make your own water crystals.

You can get water crystrals for cheap at home decor style stores. They're used for flowers so you can generally find them as powder there.

    Obtaining katydids

Where does everyone get their katydid feeders? I live in norcal and I don't think we have the nice big green ones, otherwise I'd catch them myself.

    Giant katydid (Stilpnochlora couloniana)

Are they loud? I thought I read somewhere that they're nocturnal and rather loud at night.

    Chameleon + Centipede = ?

Those things can bite it feels like a minor bee sting to humans. Based on that, I wouldn't recommend it.

    Misting system heater

Do you have part numbers for the thermostat or the water heater? I'm interested in building a setup like this but would like to order the parts directly and part numbers would help.

    Snails for Wilson?

Escargot or Helix Pomatia is what I think the right snail for feeding. I'm not sure how easy it is to find them live, but I can catch them out here in Santa Cruz, so I'm gonna try to start breeding them. Seem to get along fine with woodlice too.

    Finally Baby Superworms!!! It works!

Nice setup with the shelves. I was thinking of going that route once my pupae finish morphing. Looks like you have a bunch of things mixed in with the oats, what is all that?

San Francisco Cow Palace Herp Show

I've never been to a reptile expo being such a new cham owner and I was hoping ppl would be there with some feeders so I could pick some up as it's hard to get anything besides crickets around here. Will there be some there?

    Water Droplets in the Sun?

The focal length of a water droplet of that size is way too small. The reason plants may get burns is because the distance from the water droplet to the leaf is very small. Your cham would need to basically be pressed up against the surface of the screen. The photographic evidence provided is...

    Favorite indoor plant for chameleons

Bonzai is trimming the roots of a plant to artificially stunt its growth. Blackbetty are you talking about a bromeliad?

    Couple of feeder questions....

The beetles are different species though they're both darkling beetles. I haven't been able to find any information on them around. I think the chows are different, though you may get them to eat and survive off of one for a little while. I would stick to separate chows.

    Are Lacewings safe?

Looks like a dobsonfly. I'm pretty sure it's not a lacewing. It looks the most like a dragonfly, but the rear wings are wrong for that.

    Couple of feeder questions....

Darkling beetles are the beetles you are referring to. Darkling beetles are a whole family of beetles that also include mealworm beetles. Sorry about the nutrition info, forgot you meant the beetles not the worms. I also couldn't find any nutional value on darkling beetles anywhere, though the...
