Does the MistKing come with the water reservoir and everything I'd need to operate it? From what I read, I think it does. Thanks!!

    Going outside

Thumbs went outside for the first time today and man did his colors change! He got all puffed up and bright when I got close which usually means he's pissed. It's beautiful out though so we'll see how he does. How long do you all recommend leaving him out there? Pictures are before and after...

What do I use on the bottom of my veiled chameleon cage?

I bought a moss mat at Joanns. It lays flat and I just replace every few months. I love it. No substrate to get in his mouth.

Veiled issues - Fat? Lazy? Crooked Casque? MBD?

My veiled has a bent casque as well. Pretty sure it's from not adjusting the vines as he got older.

Worried - Can you please post some pics?

My male Cham dug when I had substrate in his viv. Took the substrate out and he hasn't been on the bottom since. I think he was just TOO interested in it.

    Acting like he wants OUT!

I cup feed and leaf feed (put bug on a stray leaf and he eats it from there). I tried hand feeding him for months but he wasn't having it. If he does decide to bite me is it like finger losing strength or just a few drops of blood? I'm trying to make my hubby be the guinea pig but I think he...

    Acting like he wants OUT!

Thumbs is a seven month old veiled Cham. He has the typical temperament of a veiled; he puffs up when I get too close and acts like he hates me. Back when he was three months old, I tried to take him out of his enclosure to clean it and he hissed at me. Needless to say, I haven't tried even...

Chameleon names. What's your chameleon's name?

Our male veiled is named Thumbs for obvious reasons :) I've wanted a Cham for as long as I can remember and always knew his name would be Thumbs!

    Veiled male stopped eating

Never mind. I refuse to pay $16 shipping. Know any other places that sell feeders with reasonable shipping costs?

    Veiled male stopped eating

Hey Jannb... On that site you listed, would the value pack or the soft bodied value pack be better for a veiled? Thanks!!

    Veiled male stopped eating

Well he's extremely hostile lol so here are a few that I could get... and I've fed him mealworms and waxworms... basically what our local pet store has had in stock. The problem with ordering online was you have to order sooo many, so thanks for that website. I will definitely check it out! I...

    Veiled male stopped eating

Hello, I have a seven month old veiled male chameleon. I've posted his stats on here before, and everyone said what I was doing was a-ok, so I'll just go over what's been going on. I haven't changed anything recently. For the past four days, he basically has stopped eating. I give him as much...

    Too big?

Just put him in there so will feed him for the first time in that enclosure tomorrow. I hand feed worms anyways but the crickets ill probably do a few at a time and put them on the higher leaves (he eats them as soon as he sees them). I know the moss is an issue; don't want any impaction.

    Too big?

Hello all! Thumbs is a five month old veiled chameleon. His enclosure was getting too cramped so we upgraded to this... 18x18x36. You can see Thumbs in the upper right hand corner. It's still a work in progress, but my question is, is it too big for right now? P.S. I know I need to get the...

    Male chameleon digging

Thanks everybody! I am a first time chameleon owner and want to make sure I'm doing everything right. When I get back to the classroom tomorrow, I'll have to see if he's still trying to dig. P.S. This site has been EXTREMELY helpful asa first time owner. Thanks!!

    Male chameleon digging

New set up! Vines from top to bottom. Still on the lookout for live plants. We live in a very small town and rely on Lowes for things like that and they don't have much in at the moment. Took substrate out and replaced it with large bark pieces.
