I use two exo-terra terrariums. I drilled a hole at the bottom because its not tempered glass for drainage. Keeps humidity up, but drains the water buildup at the bottom. They provide tons of ventilation in the cage with the vents in the front so i haven't had any problems.
I have a mistking, I fill a 5 gallon home depot bucket before we leave, and give them food as well for the day. We are gone for a few days and feed them the day we come back. Haven't had any problems at all.
Chamelot and Cha!
Here is Chamelot! His greens are just so bright, and seem to be getting brighter!
Here is Cha!(kuh). She is finally getting her greens in and losing the cinnamon stripe.
Okay, so lights on for the chameleons is at 8:00am, and lights out is at 8:30pm. Chamelot seems to like being up really early, he is wide awake at 6:30-7:00am and seems to want to sleep really early at night.
He trys to fall asleep at around 6, 2 hours before his bedtime. During the day he is...
No substrate, paper towel for easy cleanup. With substrate comes a high risk of impaction.
Also i use the exo-terra 18x18x24 and have no problems with ventilation. It keeps the humidity high, but the way it is designed it pulls fresh air from the front inlets and forces hot moist air through the...
You have just given me the same idea, let me know how it turns out. I will be keeping a close eye on this one, i have the same size and both my jacksons need bigger cages. I would think you would probably get a tube uvb instead of the compact since it will be that much bigger.
He is such an amazingly bright green! He has little blue spots when he is relaxed and about to go to sleep on his bottom half. Gonna have to catch them on camera one of these days.
He hates his mister. It is very fine and not very much pressure, but runs any time it turns on. Where does he run to? Haha crazy guy! Sorry for the blur!
Ha! Funny guy. How many mealworms is he eating? A lot of users on here suggest only 10% of the diet as mealworms, and not to use them as a staple feeder. Questions for someone who knows, what are worms you can use as a staple feeder?
What cage are you using? I have the exo terra glass vivariums with screen top and vents in front. The bottoms don't use tempered glass and i drilled wholes in both of mine for a drainage line going outside.
