im prepping the setup for my panther cage. some of the products have come through the mail (amazon). i got the humidity n temp gauge yesterday. My humidity #s aren't looking good now, says 30%. when i set the cage up and add the branches, vines and whatnot, will the humidity go up? i know...

I don't think mine is, Yet lol. She's semi excited. When we actually get one, she will prob enjoy it a few weeks. Then, depending on how noisy the crickets are, she will want me and the cham in another room/house/etc. lol

After months of research and anticipation, I finally ordered.......the neccesities for owning and caring for a chameleon. Now if Amazon will hurry up, i can get the setup going (and then focus on buying the actual cham, and knowing me will take another few weeks). Sorry for my ramblings. Just...

In all my research about chams I haven't seen anything about this (and a friend posed this question to me). Can people catch anything from chams? Disease or illness in anyway? I have 2 young children (3rd on the way) and it is a good question for their safety.

So I've been watching you tube vids of people unboxing their chams when they come via delivery. First off, I'm amazed at how long it takes them to get the lil guy/girl out, lol. I know they're recording and explaining but, the anticipation would kill me. Second, I'm getting a little turned off...

I'd say the colors would be the main attraction. I have 2 young children and think they'd get a bigger kick outta the color, than the horns. I'm def leaning towards panther right now (that could change by tomorrow). Thanks for the insight.

Thankfully I am not rushing into buying a chameleon w/o studying up (I've been impulsive with other things). That being said, I've narrowed my preference down to either Jackson or Panther. Guess when choosing between different chameleon breeds, it boils down to looks/size ?
