The feeder database is in serious need of some info. There isnt even any info on crickets. I think it can be a seriously good reference if we can get it up and going.

I was trying to make up a cage upgrade schedule. So, I guess the better question would be what size should they be to go in a (16x16x20)small, (16x16x30)medium, and (24x24x48) large cage?

Its something Ive been wondering about for a while. Especially with the panthers, as I may be getting a baby soon and I wanted to know what to look for in a sire. I have seen it both ways, the sire is spectacular and the grown out babies arent, as well as the babies being beautiful from an...
I was thinking the same thing, but in general. I was thinking about getting a panther soon, so I was wondering if there was a rule of thumb as to what size the cham will be AROUND at what number of months? I know it varies with individuals, but is there a general rule?

I understand all that. I forgot that they were asking about a specific region after seeing the photo. Happens way too often to me :). Either way, I was hoping it was a morph and not a locale that was generally unavailable. Maybe thats what I was trying to get across.
thanks, though.

Hi all. I was noticing that everyone that posts a baby chameleon, likes to show off pictures of the sire. What I was wondering is: How reliable is the sire in showing the colors that the offspring males could produce? Seems simple enough, but I know its not, so if you could help me out here...
They had quite an attitude for such little beings! I loved them to death..litterally. The pet shop realized they were in over their heads after buying them and knew I had chameleon experience. They gave me all three little guys and a 12x12x18" cage they were being kept in..for free.

I had three rudis. I got them when they were 6 days old. Got them from a pet shop. They got them at 5 days and until then they looked really bad. They ate like crazy and drank well for almost a month, then almost all at once seemed to just die off. For no apparent reason. I dont know..but...
I definately agree with opening up the aperture if you are trying to sho full body details. Small apertures are good for profile head shots where you want the background out of focus, but not great for anything with need fore detail. When using a micro lens, you really should try to get a...
That thing is a masterpiece! It didnt look that big! Thats amazing. I wish I had the room for something like that. If I were to build that big, he might as well have the whole room as free range! I love it!

I did. Thanks. That cage looks built like a master. I also have one more question. If I were to build a cage for one adult male panther chameleon, would 36"x18"x48" LWH or 24"x24"x48" be 'better'? I know bigger is always better when it comes to enclosures, but would the extra length...
