Finally got some rain for the first time a few weeks at our house, usually get far more this time of year but we kept being in the little areas that got missed by the afternoon storm cycle. The green tree frogs usually breed all summer in our yard and it was nice to hear them singing, got a few...

I found this helpful when I decided to breed mine, it has rung true to date. Very rewarding experience but you should be fully aware of the time and money your about to commit to chameleons and have a plan for the babies.
The one that pipped will probably be marching around looking for food when you return. It may be variations in incubation temps causing issues and them to hatch over a longer time span but from what I've read that is relatively common with all chameleons and it's not unheard of for clutch mates...
He needs more feeder variety, likely at 190g because of the fatty super worms. They are better than mealworms but your really need a more nutritious base feeder that's properly gut loaded for long term health. For supplements hopefully you've been dusting with repashy cal plus that's the only...
Have the other eggs died? If they are still white I think you may just have an early baby and the rest will follow once they get to term, 7 months is a shorter incubation than mine have been 8-9.5 months typical at 72F.
I can't tell you, too many factors at play. Was it just one or multiple? If multiple then likely an issue with incubation, one may just be a genetic defect. I had one egg in the last clutch that looked perfect all through the incubation like the rest then never hatched and molded a few weeks...
Decided to delay treatment another week or so, the female staged a hunger strike from Sunday until this morning only ate one roach so I didn't want to start them on anything. This species has been pretty picky about food, have seen on FB others eating crickets but this pair definitely prefers...
Some of them won't eat in front of you, though Panther babies are usually less shy about it. I have a clutch of 39 right now about the 2 month mark and 75% will gobble down anything I put in front of them right away, the slower ones never have any food left the next day so I figure they are shy...
I use 12/12 in winter and 14/10 on/off summer with a gradual change of about 15 mins a week in between. Keeps things consistent with the sun since I move my chameleons inside/ outside pretty frequently. I don't mess with multiple lighting times for specific cages other than basking spots but I...
I figured based on her size they might be sisters. He is a stunner! Love that orange. This subspecies seems to put out some impressive horns, the male I got from you has a nice pair already and lots of yellows on his head even the eye turrets. My female has more blues and greens so far haven't...
I'm in Florida and use tap water everyday on my chameleons outside, never had an issue. Lots of us use showers for chameleons as well. In fact moving my quads back inside this summer where they get RO water caused one to get an edema, I don't think the water was a factor more the change natural...
