Well, I've never heated the water. The tank is one of those "camping" tanks that is supposed to prevent bacterial growth and I use black tubing to keep down that risk but never wanted to take that chance. The water stays at/near room temp which is pretty consistently 70f. The mist comes out...
The others are Repashy. The Reptaid is by Amber Technology. Here's an Amazon link on it. It's expensive but that is relative to the cham's health isn't it? http://www.amazon.com/Reptaid-XL-1-fluid-Ounce/dp/B006X40ZQQ/ref=cm_cr_pr_sims_t :p
There is another similar link with a lot of input that you may wish to follow: https://www.chameleonforums.com/repashy-calcium-plus-input-101541/ Personally, I have switched to Repashy Calc+ for daily dusting. Read the many links offered and make your own decision. Good Luck!
There are many here that know more than I. jannb, sandrachameleon are two of my favs. I've read many, many posts and even read many statements by Allen Repashy and others. I chose to gutload with Superload and dust with the Calc+ with our second cham when the first failed in only a few months...
Rambo loves his vines. I can't help it, I just keep adding. Now he has a star at the very top of his home. He keeps going up as I add. I think he likes them!
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=AnNl5IMXFCI&list=FLeJYW4GHpoHcHtcnwi5P1cA This is a link to JDog Chameleon's videos on how to build a screen cage. It is probably the cheapest way to go. There are 5 or 6 videos that take you step-by-step through the process. There are many ways to vary what he...
There are many, many ways on the forum for attaching vines, branches. Some use dowel rods cut to the width of the cage and push pins through the screen to hold them in place. I screwed two big branches to the back of mine (wood/rock wall) and put cup hooks around the top for vines to hang from.:D
Ceramcoat is the one!
A product I've used with tremendous results is from Delta Creative. It is called Ceramcoat. It is water-based and non-toxic. Also it sets up within 30 minutes and fully cures in an hour or two. You can find it on Amazon for around $6-8 an 8 oz bottle. Mix it with about...
tony1120 this is ethan99's thread about their chameleon. You should start your own thread under General Discussion not under the Health Clinic thread! Thanks.
Yeah, try trimming the umbrella plant back a little if it's too tall. They mainly use that for lower level shade or for hiding. Is he doing any better now? How about some pics to see him and his cage. Maybe the plant needs cleaned or clean soil? Sometimes they can make pot plants smell with...
Laurie, LOL right about the changes. However, I just recently decided to add a higher vine so Rambo could get a few inches closer to his heat source. He took to it within minutes (sort of like a fish to water?) and now he practically lives there. It also improved his eating (and pooping) a...
How old is he and what type of cham do you have? Not eating for a couple of days may not be terribly bad for some chams. Mine went for about a week not eating. I noticed he kept trying to get closer to the lights so I added a higher vine (just a couple of inches) and he started eating normally...
We have a veiled male that lives in our living room. His home is in the corner away from traffic but we live here too. He seems to accept our movements during the day. I make sure that we keep noise and activity down around him. He has a set schedule and gets in his sleep corner about the same...
I found the easiest to care for were the SPIDER PLANT, UMBRELLA PLANT, & GOLDEN POTHOS for my veiled. I got them all at Home Depot and Wal-Mart. I suggest that you get doubles of whatever you decide on and swap them out once a month so that the others can be washed, repotted, set in direct...
See my link I did this summer making a 24" x 48" 'rock wall'. Lots of in-process pictures. Maybe you can get some ideas from it. https://www.chameleonforums.com/season-cage-builds-82759/
Very nice setup. I had to keep moving my 5.0 closer and closer until it now sits on top of the screen. Rambo's highest vine is about 10" from the screen and his back sits about 5-6" from the top of the screen. I had to keep it that far away because his casque is so tall that he hits it on the...
Hoj, and you well should be proud! We're proud for you. I noticed that Arcadia is not a site sponsor of Chameleon Forums. They should be. This seems to be an exciting product worthy of our attentions. Thanks.
