Haha i thought you meant kelp. When my hornworm food depleted, i used kale.
How did you feed them the kale? Did you put them in a new container with the kale?
I have a hand full of #hornworms that are large and has eaten all its food.
I decided to breed them. Right now i put them in a small Tupperware with soil.
What should i do next? Should i add greens for them to eat? Keep the soil moist?
Welcome! I would look into a good misting system for the following reasons:
1. ensure you have good humidity.
2. ensure that your cham is well hydrated.
3. ensure that your cham has good hygiene.
4. you don't have to keep track of misting every day.
5. you have the freedom to leave a whole day...
I use the Philips Argo Plant light

how often do you feed the worms? I would cut out the mealworms.
What's your basking temp? SOMETIMES when it is NOT warm enough, they will perch there all day.
For my veil, I've been dusting calcium without d3 6 days out of the week. On Sunday, I dust with multi-vitamins.
I rotate between crickets and dubia as staple. Every other day, I'll add one hornworms, superworms, or black fly larvae.
